Well, there are plenty of highly reviewed games that I did not like at all and some low reviewed games that I did. Reviews are helpful for games where you are on the fence, but I never take them as gospel. I mean, listening to reviews, I'm told GTA4 is one of the best games of all time. I highly disagree and don't even consider it a good game. |
Well than you are living in denial... GTA4 is definately a good game, even if it's only your opinion, denying it's quality is very biased bs (no not a bulletshot).
Ofc I pick only games I might enjoy. I'm not a retard that would look at meta and ordered the first 20 highest rated games for that system. I have my favourite genres, so I buy high quality games from those. Than time to time some game from for me unusal genre catch my attention, I get to know as much as I can about it (hopefully without spoilers) and than I buy it. This way I've discovered DMC 4, which really isn't my kind of game.
But the point I'm trying to make since my first post is = If the game is universaly criticaly accepted, it can't be bad. Than it's just a matter of your taste. And since I know mine, all of the picks I've made were successful (except for Burnout, oh god how I hate that game).
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
