Of course the PC is not a console, its better in pretty much every way shape and form!

A PC gives you not only a superior gaming platform (should you wish it), but a completely open system where you can create and download mods for games, not to mention all the little freeware apps people keep making for everything under the sun. Consoles are owned by a coporate entity that holds the rights to the platform and can restrict whatever they want. Yes you can have mods on PS3, but only because Sony says its OK. On PC its completely down to the individual developer to create the kits for moders to do their thing. And even when they don't, if its popular enough, the clever people of the internet can do some extraordinary things.

Furthermore, you're not restricted to a single control method, yes you can play with the superior and intuitive controls of keyboard & mouse, but if you prefer you can always use a 360 controller or another 3rd-party controller.

Then of course their is the fact that I can use my PC to do work... and when I'm bored of that I just need to double click and icon and I'm in game! Actually... I'm not sure if that's a plus...

Finally, you can always upgrade your PC, once you have a console, you can't improve the graphics to the next standard, you have to wait for the next closed-system console to come out.

Oh yeah... and PCs have bittorrent.
