Platformers are not RPG's, in fact RPGs are in decline in Japan on the consoles, just look at FF13, it's going to sell poorly for an FF game in Japan according to both Famitsu and MC, but there hasn't been a 2D Mario platformer on a console in years, this is something that is going to be very popular in Japan and the rest of the world
