It would make for an interesting plot twist if this is what the hero believes he is doing, and what the player is led to believe he is doing, but at the end you're found out to actually be doing exactly what Jack the Ripper is known to have done. Done properly, it could even be a scathing commentary on some of the problems found in some of the currently fashionable gaming tropes.
But this is EA; the company behind Dante's Inferno. I don't trust them to do this properly.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.
