This comparison seems somewhat unfair. Have a look at this: http://vgchartz.com/swlaunch.php?reg1=All&game1=Wii+Music+-+Wii&reg2=All&game2=LittleBigPlanet+-+PS3&reg3=All&game3=&weeks=100&weekly=1

LittleBigPlanet has had a large boost in the previous few weeks. Before that, it was pretty much tieng Wii Music (LBP sold ~ 1-2K more on a weekly basis).

The reason for this is simple: LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year edition launched on the 8th of September. That boosted its sales, thus making this comparison (somewhat) flawed.

They're actually selling close to tied, and I expect that they should go back to even sales not too soon.

Another thing that is pro-Wii Music, is the fact that it's still selling at an RRP of 39.99 euros, whereas LittleBigPlanet is at 19.99 euros. (According to Amazon, which sells both at 18 euros, but Amazon's price isn't all that relevant).

Then there's LittleBigPlanet PsP. Will that boost LBP, or will it kill off LBP? It's launching at the same price as LBP Ps3 is (in Europe, at least), which means that it could kill off the console edition. It depends on whether LBP PsP lacks a lot of the Ps3 version's features.

I think these two titles are going to end at a virtual tie.  LBP might have a small edge, but it depends on two things mainly.

1. What the PsP LBP does to the Ps3 LBP's sales.

2. If, and when, a Wii Music GOTY/announced pricecut comes. (As in, advertised pricecut).

Either way, this one is going to be incredibly close, and likely within 150K of each other.
