I'll give he meant resolution, but that also has to do with HDTVs not being intuitive. You have to tinker around with settings on every different thing you have just to make them look good, or else you get a blurry picture.
My home has two 20" flat screen SD CRTs, and they work great no matter what is plugged into them. I don't even have to adjust the settings.
HDTVs need to be that user friendly.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
