No the PS3 is not responsible for if/when the Go flops. From what I observe, Sony is trying to tap into the market that Apple is dominating with the I-pod and I-phone. I'm not sure that the Go is going to be attractive to that group.
For me personally, I purchased a PSP 3000 a few months ago. After they stated there would be no media drive it was an easy decision. I don't mind downloading some games. But, I want the option of having a physical disc to sell or let some one borrow. Particularly if I am going to be shelling out full price for a game.
