When genres affect the level design, they do. Smash Bros Stages are not anywhere near the scale of Mario stages.
And if you can prove me wrong, you would have, not resorted to "you're a fanboy", when you haven't even given a proper counterpoint.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
