No matter how a game is hyped, it's still not coming out before its release date. I'm personally more annoyed about hype than the lack of it. Maybe someone should make a petition for Nintendo to announce games a day prior to their release. |
Hype can be good if it's used in a reasonable proportion. It helps to keep the interest fresh on a game and console. For example check the Epic Mickey project, of course hype can get out of control and being annoying like Killzone 2 and its 30 daily posts on this site.
