Because the Wii version misses most features that were in Fifa 2004 on the PS2, and looks quite a bit worse as well.

You should ask EA. Really, their sports efforts on the Wii are laughable.

Laughable effort translates directly to laughable sales, although I doubt the EA management team is laughing.
