Well, personally the site is fine for me, I just recently signed up but have been reading the forums and charts for a while now. There's obvious room for improvement like trying to create educated fanboyism and creating situation where fanboy was can be real heated "cool" discussion :).
As for VG IM just post more people to join, or when you join add in your sig, I'm in VG IM right now, join me.
