I never said; "bring large numbers of new gamers in" as u put it. I believe that I said "they will attract more new gamers to the HW" then the 360's massive 360 sequel line up. Are u that dull u cannot see that games like Heavy Rain (new IP, art house game), GOW 3 (massive new update to a new gen, HD platform), The Last Guardian (new IP, art house game), M.A.G (new IP, tactical shooter), Agent (new IP from Rockstar North, spy sandbox game. Should be big, no?), FF14, White Knight Chronicals (new IP, western style JRPG), GT5 (SONY's biggest game. First full installment this gen. Big, no?), Mod Nation Racers, Quantum Theory, L.A Noire, David Jaffies big game (Twisted Metal Black?), Motion Controller and games; Ape Escape, EyePet, etc. See, "all" these games are new IPs for the PS3 or brand new installments in this HD gen. M$ on the other hand has more of the very big sequel hitters, no? |
We can agree on the bolded.
As for the rest, it is MASSIVE hyperbole. If you're suggesting that every one of those games will move at least some copies then yes you're correct. But the same can be said for Carnival Games and Horsez.
The vast majority of the titles you just listed will have no noticeable effect on sales though. In fact, the effect that GT5 will have will be equal to the combined effect the rest of your listed titles will have times two at LEAST!!!
Side note, I was under the impression that L.A. Noire was quickly becoming vapourware, and that if it isn't it is likely coming to the Xbox 360 as well?
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
