Is the PS3 responsible for the PSP Go flop?

The price, and no way to transfer currently owned UMD games (this one someone from sony should be slapped in the head for). The price does not bother me, but not being able to transfer my few games I play on it over is a big no no. I actually want to get one, but not unless I can sell my old one first
