Another EDIT: I always welcome a good Zelda clone. That's right, a clone would be sufficient, you don't even need new ideas. Use a topdown view and create a massive 2D world. |
Don't tempt me :P
I'm always blown away by how much FUN I have playing the very first, original Zelda (I also loved Zelda II: Adventure of Link, but seem to be in a minority).
But there is something about Zelda 1 that is really special (ok, Lttp is also awesome - but Zelda 1 does it for me :>).
I would love to do a "remake" of any of those titles - and surprisingly, it would suit our current tech/skills really well. Hmmm.
...
What about a "split-screen" version of Lttp/Zelda 1, where two people can play at once on the same console? You could run off and do your own thing as you wanted, and join together for selected sections/missions. It would probably have a few "classes", magic, some levelling - but primarily the good-old Zelda style gameplay. (its almost sounding like Diablo :P).
