Will Nintendo have any games nominated for overall Game of the Year awards?

I really doubt it, actually. The gaming media has largely been very dissatisfied with the Wii's lineup this year, and none of it has been deemed so excellent by them as to surpass all else

 

Your basic overall goty contenders are going to be Uncharted 2, MW2, and Arkham Asylum. Possibly Brutal Legend, depending on how much hype it actually gets near the end.

 

Depending on how it goes, Other M could be a goty contender, next year, so could Zelda, next year or the year after.

EDIT: DS games will never be in contention, i'm sorry to say. May sound a bit pessimistic, but that's how the trend goes. Console games >> handheld games. I don't subscribe to that idea at all, but that's how the media goes.
