I don't disagree that Natal would almost certainly do a better job, but there might be a way to estimate how high/strong a kick the player performed by looking at the spike in pressure being placed on the planted foot.
Really surprised that a reviewer would dare to give Wii Fit a 9. I shouldn't be, since it is the biggest new IP of the generation.
