why do people say Wii is a gimmick

Sales will start to lose steam come mid year 2008 for the Wii.

I didn't buy a ps3 or xbox because their motion control isn't up to snuff with the other console that IS next gen, all they have is the new fangled graphics and processor power.  That screams gimmick to me.

 

on a more serious note:  Obviously sales will HAVE to start losing steam at some point.  At least the wii's sales actually had steam to begin with though.
