In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

His post doesn't meet those guidelines and your "rule" is suspect considering your own post could be viewed as Trolling, also I find the way you mod in general to be highly irregular recently.

Hrmm. Mentioning that you "died" a little inside because one console company dominated the top 10. Nope, not inflammatory or irrelevant at all.

His opinion is just as valid as yours... his comment was "colorful" at worst and his personality is what keeps these forums interesting.  Banning should only occurs when it's obvious that the user is intending to disrupt the discussion...

OT:  We all do appreciate the hard work you're putting into this thread regardless of what we may think of what games sell well

Substance. Content is king. Threads lacking content can and will be locked. Some tips to keep you and your posts out of trouble:
Do not post only that Item A sucks, or that Item B is better than Item C. Give reasons why, post links to documented problems, of screenshots, or  whatever you can. Similarly, do not reply to other posters with "you're wrong." Explain why you disagree, and perhaps point to the correct  answer.

Quoted from the forum rules. Specifically rule number 5. According the forum rules his opinion, as stated, is not as valid as mine as it does not have anything of substance to back it up. There was already a moderator warning telling people to cut it out, and he pushed his luck. His actions are wholey supported by the rules of the forum that you have agreed to. If you would like more consistent moderation then I suggest you either try to get the rules changes, or jump on moderators who are not actually acting within the rules.
