I guess it's kind of hard to tell. I mean think of it like this. You have a girlfriend and you think shes kinda boring in bed, so you dump her. You get a new girlfriend, just to find out she makes your ex look like a porn star. See what I'm getting at? =P
It's hard for us to say 'dark sucks' when we have nothing else to compare it to. We don't think we like it until we don't have it anymore. I'm sure I don't speak for everyone here though, that's just how I feel=P I don't mind the orange much, I don't think it looks bad by any means. It would be cool to have a customizable background, whether it just be selecting a color or even being able to upload your own (I can dream, eh? =P). Of course, advertisement backgrounds would take priority over personalized backgrounds, but we don't always have advertisement backgrounds and they normally only apply to the home page (that I notice anyway).
Looks fine either way, I just like dark..=P
