WHY? -- AWESOME music (Best BAttle theme in a FF Game), great cast (yeah Tidus had REASONS for ebing how he was, I understand him completely).
Finall......BEST BATTLE SYSTEM in a FF Game ever, very startegy orientated, the summons were GRAND!
Loved the game......absolutely loved it!
The first time you leave the first town with yuna & fight with the following battle theme.....EPIC memories & feelings!

THE BEST Characters in a FF GAME. Locke, Terra, EDGAr, SABIN, SHADOWWWW!
fighting the TRAIN.....going tot he other world, KEFKA with his laugh in that weird sound on SNES.....wow absolutely loved this game!
The music was fabulous too....
If your a FF FAN & don't like this game.....your NOT an FF fan, simple as that.
This is not the MOSt popular FF6 song, but its one of my favs from it!

Just recently played this on the NDS & LOVED the game.
imo some of the BEST FF Sound Pieces, great characters, compelling story, FUN Gameplay. It was a ball to play, it stood as my favorite, but towards the end it got a bit boring & slipped down to 3rd.

NEVER went crazy like some do for this OVERRATED game......but nonetheless it is AAA.
Characters you remember forever, at the time good graphics, AMAZING CGI scenes, imo not too great a musical score except for 3 tracks, aerith's dying scene was cliched & i LAUGHED when she died in fact, how could anyone cry. Sephiroth is a freak & a silly viallin, Cloud is boring.

oh my god, a FF game with a STORY I didn't give a rats ass about & characters I didn't care one bit about, was this possible, yes it was. But the story picks up like after 20 hours....so thats good. Balthier is likeable, who is the main character again, he was so crap I don't remember him! Ashe is memorable......the rest meh.
Gameplay was very nice on the other hand, music was great in parts. Matsuno leaving the game halfway through really showed, by the end the game was a MESS plot wise.....an absolute MESS. But its still AAA.

SAME complaints as FF12 almost. Except I found the characters extremely boring. FF9 was a boring game in fact.....ONLY FF game thats not AAA for me. The music was the saving grace of the worst FF ever in my opinion.
