Hmm this could be a close call, however, I don't think it's anything to worry about...

I mean, games don't generally move consoles unless they're bundled (With a few expetions ofcourse), and ODST is more of an expansion to Halo 3, as it's a subtitled game, and doesn't have much to qualify as a real game, the campaign is really short, and it contains only one extra gametype if I'm not mistaken, and a few extra maps. They could have easily made it as an expansion to download from the XBL Marketplace and at less than half the price it's currently selling it.

Not to mention that most of the people who will be buying it, WILL be buying it as an expansion to Halo 3, meaning they will already have an 360.

So although I can see the sales of the console increasing, I can't see it overtaking the PS3 this week, except maybe in USA, since there's only a 9,000 gap, while the PS3 is still selling well over 10x the 360 in Japan, and double in Other (PAL Regions)

So yes, I think it will overtake in USA, however, I'm hoping that will change next month when Uncharted 2, and Ratchet and Clank are released, since they seem to be highly anticipated, and the marketing for Uncharted 2 is pretty huge in some areas of the world (I've seen advertisements on TV for Uncharted 2, as well as in stores and around town)

And in November there aren't really any exclusives for the PS3 that I can recall, although maybe Assassins Creed 2 will sell better on PS3 since lately the PS3 Multiplatforms have sold better, let's hope that keeps up !

And in December, it's a no brainer, PS3 WILL sell higher for the fact that Final Fantasy XIII is being released in Japan, along with a beautful PS3 bundle, which according to Square Enix has already sold out, and it's 2 months away ! Let's hope they make more ! In my opinion, Japan alone will sell more PS3's than 360 WW, and I'll have a bet with anyone that thinks otherwise.

The 360 will, in some weeks, sell higher than the PS3, ofcourse that's when there aren't any exclusives lined up, for example, maybe between the months of Jan - March next year, there may be a few ups and downs for both consoles since they're kind of bare months, but as soon as March hits, I'm expecting PS3 sales to be back to double that of the 360, and last for atleast the duration of March, if not more, since the PS3 has so many games coming out that month, all different genres, so there's something for everyone, and if there IS indeed a Gran Turismo 5 PS3 bundle, then the PS3 will sell HUGE amounts.

However, to be honest, we shouldn't worry about the PS3 and 360, but the Wii !
