dgc negates the night activity of whoever he targets for that night. So he has to do it again and again to stop that person from ever doing whatever.
And Gnizmo, it's purely because I thought dgc's ability meant that we could "double investigate", which is IMO better than investigating even a more suspicious individual target. (I.e., if he was the body snatcher then the results of investigating DGC would come back reflecting what YOU were, I believe. And if that result was innocent, then DGC must also be telling the truth and innocent.) But if that's not the way it works (and if he's not literally the body snatcher then it probably doesn't) my idea wouldn't work.
If zexen investigates YOU, though ... it would only prove that you are whatever. So not any more useful than investigating anyone else.
