Perhaps even with some small flaws the game is still as good as it gets. The problem I see when comparing it to mario64 is that people generally see the past through rosey glasses. That might be what they meant at the end of the review when they were wondering if we'll look back on this game in a decade with the same reverence that mario64 gets now.
