I'm fairly sure they're not. I bet it's still a game about a ragtag bunch of rebels fighting some human and then demonic force threatening the world and/or universe with total destruction or something. Hopefully no one has amnesia. I'm sure the fighting still involves inputting commands and watching the action play out. I'm sure a lot of the innovations are merely spinoffs of things they've tried in other games and are repackaging and renaming for this game. I like Final Fantasy, but it is what it is. They tried to change the formula drastically with FF XII and innovate. They got shitted on for it by fans and didn't execute well enough to sway reviewers and voters. Now they bring it back to a more traditional approach. |

not much different from WRPG's either then.......I mean seriously all RPG's & most games have this story
A person/group of people chosen specially to stop an evil which is trying to cause harm to the community & so on.
Yes in Fallout 3 you can choose to be evil, but you still have an enemy trying to dominate the landscape (those knight people or that computer that pretends he's a president)

Then why is it AAA on metacritic, they obviously did?

from previews of FF13, everyones been very positive.....I think this title may have enough to be AAA
