Actually, you wouldn't, after your roleclaim, the mafia would simply target another one, and so on till you were the only one standing. Thus, they'd still win.

I kinda wish you had claimed to be doctor, forcing the mafia to target you...that would have been way more interesting

How exactly? Assuming that it wasn't two mafia vs. me which they could vote to lynch me.
