King's Bounty is one of the best Turnbased RPGs ever. The reason it's called a Strategy-RPG is because the combat of King's Bounty requires ALOT of Strategy, something that JRPGs fail to provide. Really, what's the point in having a turn-based combat if it has no strategy whatsoever? JRPGs are awful from that point of view, because even though they use turn-based, they give no actual benefit, such as not having strategy. The main reason for having a turn-based is to allow deeper mechanics to flourish, mostly being strategy, tactical combinations and micromanagement... JRPGs barely do anything of that! |
lol, PC gamer doesn't play JRPGs.
