Nintendo did a much better job than Sony at hiding the incoming cut so sales didn't slow down these lasts months because people were expected a cut (if they slowed down the reasons were others).
As a result I don't think they will jump as much...

Furthermore, even though the price cuts are proportionately similar, $100 is more dramatic in absolute terms, and a console redesign is way more exciting than just knocking some dollars off.

Then there's Sony's new ad campaign, much better than previous campaigns. Will Nintendo even bother to have one, or just let retailer flyers do their work for them?

Nintendo might see a better sustained boost than the PS3, just because $200 is a more impulse-friendly price, but their price cut just doesn't have the splash that Sony's had.
