My opinion on political correctness and freedom of speech:

Political correctness infringes my freedom of speech. Politcal correctness is the government telling me what I am and am not allowed to say. This is not free speech. For speech to be free, politcal correctness has to be taken away.

Basically my opinion is, you can say anything you like unless you are directly inciting voilence. Pretty much the same as the 1st Amendment.

Well to be honest I think everyone on this site thinks that way. Political correctness is insane, it's all about where you draw the line. for example I think that saying Ni**er is completely out because it is hard to say it in a context which is destructive, but not being able to say something like blackboard and whiteboard in the classroom is absurd*.

Either way the UK is far too politically correct, I'm all about the right balance.

(* I know that last one is just an urban legend, but I'm just using it hypothetically)
