I wish we knew if there was a serial killer or siblings or some other killer. If there's not then no lynch would be better because an odd number of people get the same number of days as (odd + 1) do, and better odds of guessing the mafia at random -- and I believe we have 14 people.
So no lynch on the first day wouldn't hurt us in that case.
