So with that being said I still think EA could launch its own console if it wanted too. But it would cost so much money to get going they would probably have to partner up (more than likely with a big company like Apple). If the console failed then they would be toast with billions lost.

I heard that the current contract they have with the NFL requires EA to put the game on all viable consoles.  This means Madden could not be exclusive.
