Which should place them around the 4870 X2, although the source that said 1600sp said it would compete with the GTX295. Nvidia has nothing to compete with the X2 part of this, their own roadmaps show the 'GT300' in Spring. They will be competing using GT200 rebrands to the "300 series" (confirmed, check their driver files). Rumoured price is either $299 or $399; one of the cards (50 or 70) will be $299 at least due to an accidental contest notice offering it as a prize. Launch date is, uh, tomorrow. |
Actually the cards you are calling rebrands aren't rebrands. They are their new architecture with a ton of stuff disabled.
