Did you guys read it? It wasn't Barbie, it was her friend Midge. And I can't for the life of me understand what the controversy was there, unless you consider the beauty of pregnancy to be dirty our lacking in values. It's even more rediculous when you consider that you could always get a baby and baby accesories for the Barbie universe.
Mattel even bent over backwards to appease the "family value" types by selling her with husband and wedding ring. It was a pretty sad statement that the line of rediculously body shaped dolls for girls to dress up in fashion syles runs in to controversy over pregnancy.
