"In a wide-ranging interview broadcast Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," Obama said reversing job losses from the recession will come at the end of the recovery period, not the start."

He didn't say at the end of the rescission, he said at the end of the recovery. Somehow, we are going to recover from this without jobs, and then when we are at the end of the recovery, jobs will just come.

Obama, you lie!

Well, your are either lying to people, or that's the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. Take your pick

Haha, oh my word, that has to be a mistake in his speech, right... Right?

I bet while he read it out loud he thought half way through "hold on, something's not right here".

I really don't think that was a mistake at all. Haven't many analysts said that even during the recovery, substantial job creation won't be for a while, and if a recovery starts with the strengthening of financial institutions and ends with that leading to more jobs, doesn't that mean that the jobs come at the end portion of the recovery?

I'm not trying to make this a political argument (really, how obnoxious do you have to be to try and turn a dumb quote thread in to a political argument?) But he did say "at the end of", and not "after" And I a substantial drop in the unemployment rate is one of the latter occurances in the economic recovery... then wouldn't what he said be right?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
