It's nice for Nintendo to want things, but Wii sales have been dropping in Japan like a rock, and I don't think Square-Enix is going to risk putting it on the Wii exclusively.

Enix yanked Dragon Quest VII from the N64 back in the day too, so its not like there isn't a precedent. A DS + Wii version would be a healthy compromise.

Maybe it could work like Monster Hunter 3 where the Wii gets it first and then the handheld machine (in this case -- DS) gets a version afterwards. In this scenario both versions could also link up to each other. 

But that's how I see it going down.
