They actually did concentrate on the graphics, only this was the style they wanted to go for. It is a nice break from everything trying to look as realistic as possible. 
Gameplay will be similar to that of NES Zelda and Link to the Past from the SNES, only with a 3D look.
In other words, this game is going to be perfect. For me anyways.
