They didn't, and I highly doubt the Ivalice team will be given another main Final Fantasy after the large drop in sales FFXII experienced.

Large drop? It still sold 5 mil+. I doubt the team is the problem for lower sales. The drop's almost similar to VII and VIII, but the FF VIII guys are still making new FFs...

Yeah, it still sold 5 million, but it sold just as well FFX-2. A game that didn't have nearly as much development time as FFXII and a much smaller budget.

And the FFVIII is near identical to the people making FFX.
