Well out of everyone I know on my PSN friends list and friends in real life I only know 1 person who bought a Slim PS3 while they still had a working PS3 and he kept the Phat version for a blu ray player in his sitting room. Other than that a few friends have picked up a slim on release who never had a PS3 before
