This is just my opinion, but it is based off of something.. right?
I would argue that the wii has mariokart, and super smash bros as core games.
both of which should have seen better iterations on a "new" console. Oh and there is the metroid series.
In my eyes there has Not been a legitimate Mario or Zelda game yet on the wii. One was in actuality a GC game, and the other is Mario which is waggle combined with rails... It is a good game, and the best since Mario 64, so I guess it counts... I just want something as good as Mario 64, probably never going to happen.
point being, as a core gamer, I would argue that the wii has ~5 truly core games. All of the others are simply core franchises reskinned to fit the wii.
don't chew me up here, this is just my opinion. Maybe I am just too old for the wii? All I know is that I am still not too old for any other Nintendo console in the past.
If there is any hope of people like me ever getting a wii, this price cut and a real ZeldaWii will have to pass.
I love Nintendo, but I miss them as well.
