Perhaps, that's what Malstrom thinks certainly, that its only for third parties.

But I have a theory, Iwata predicted NSMB Wii would sell 10 million by the end of the fiscal year:

http://www.edge-online.com/news/nintendo-new-games-could-sell-ten-million-each

But here's the thing, that would give NSMB Wii only about 21 or so weeks to do that, however it took the DS version longer to reach 10 million, now Iwata may be expecting the Wii version to be a better seller, but even then, reaching 10 million by the end f the fiscal year would be impossible, unless the game is bundled.

So I think Iwata confirmed that NSMB Wii will be bundled.

Now why would they cut the price just as they are about to release a new bundle? Well clearly the Wii Sports bundle is no match for the NSMB Wii bundle, because Wii Sports has already been surpassed by Wii Sports resort, if given the choice anyone would rather pick up NSMB Wii bundle and Wii Sports resort over Wii Sports bundle and NSMB Wii and/or Wii Sports resort. So what does Nintendo do with the Wii Sports bundle, it has to price them to move.

So I'm almost certain now that this price cut is so they can slide in an NSMB Wii bundle into the $249.99 slot.
