I agree. Replace RE with Philosophy. Get rid of the abomination that is a state funded faith school.

That evolution is already being taught, and that these polls reflect years of evolution being taught in the classroom.

Yeah... well there is one thing to note about Gallup Polls.

You don't get shit for doing them.

So your really only going to answer the poll questions if you want to.

Evoution is what we'd call a "one sided" issue.

One side feels very strongly about it and would want to talk about it... while the otherside really doesn't care.

 

I mean if someone asked you if you wanted to take a poll about evolution... a multple question poll... what are the chances you would actually stay on the phone if you believed in evolution?

A lot less then if you thought you were representing your faith... etc whatever.

As such i'd guess the numbers are  abit overinflated.

 

That's why most studies tend to offer compensation.  A little token thing... but it's enough to get people to spend 10 minutes of their day.
