It's true that doing "perfect" circles around a target is very hard to do with the Wii remote and nunchuk compared to dual analog. to get a similar effect, we need to have a tight dead zone and good turning sensitivity, not to mention a good pulse on out hands. It's not as hard as it sounds, but is definately not easier than dual analog. A lock-on feature might solve the issue like Metroid Prime 3 Corruption has, but it can make switching targets hard when the battle gets intense.

However, this does not mean that the controllers are inferior. To be honest, this tactic is not necessary on Wii FPS.

Circling around a target is a very well known tactic among dual analog shooter gamers. What many do not know is that this tactic is used to compensate a small flaw that dual analog has over a mouse+keyboard setup on PCs that is accurate aiming everytime (compared to the total number of players, only a few can be 100% accurate because of skills, not the controller). The time required to aim at a target with dual analog is longer than when using the mouse, during that time the player can become an easy target to opponents and has to use straffing while looking at the target to avoid being shot. This in result creates a circle around the enemy where the lack of accuracy is compensated by increasing the chances to get a hit on the opponent while avoiding being hit. this does not mean that dual analog is inferior, it's just a different tactic to increase the chances of winning a match.

On PC, the aiming is very fast and accurate, so you can land shots way before your enemy notices. Circling around is not necessary in these case and is somewhat similar to what you can do with Wii remote+nunchuck (in making it a bit hard on intense battles). It can be done but not as well as dual analog

On online PC FPS, my friends and I can identfy who is using dual analog based on the combat tactics. No setup is inferior, cause in these battles we get the same chances to win or lose. It's a matter of skill
