Handhelds are different because people play them differently (shorter bursts generally) and people may buy multiple units for a family.
Interestingly, the Wii's first price cut will dropi it to 80% of original price. The DS Lite's cut has it at 87% of its original price.
Basically, looking over that game line-up, there is a lot of chafe to be separated from the wheat. I will buy the wheat but try to avoid the chafe. A lot of the "system sellers" (Zelda, RS2, SMG2, etc.) don't come out til 2010. So to make sure they sell -- and sell more systems -- the Wii needs to sell well this holiday.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
