ok then. I would also like to add that i am not saying anything bad against the wii or mario Galaxy in general, i infact said the wii is a great console and that galaxy is a great game. I said Mario galaxy is the best of the best in the world of platformers, it takes everything great about this genre of games and adds it all into one game. "The gravity effects" This also depends on what type of gravity and how you use it in the game, but off the top of my head the ratchet and clank series has used gravity to certain ponts regarding going upside down using certain platforms or tubes. There have also been gravity weapons n games, i acnnot name them off the top of my head but i have seen them. "multiple spheroids" This has been done in Mario 128 from what i have heard from Nintnedo fans, the ratchet and clank series has also used sphere worlds on the PS2. "instant camera controls (you have *no* control over the camera)" I have not played alot of platformers and i don't remember all the games i have played, but before the PS1/N64 era the camera was never under your control, 2d platformers have never allowed you to control the camera. I also can't control the camera in some shooters or sports games. "two player (simulatanous) control," This has been used in many classic games, and has also been used During the PS1/PS2 days, but having this is a pain to the people that play the game and has been taken out of all games now. this one i agree isn't anything new, however, i don't think you get what the two player aspect of galaxy actually is.. you don't control mario together, one person is pretty much the assisting character, who can collect star shards, and shoot them at enemies, as well as freezing enemies or mario (to help or hinder the first player). As you can tell from the description, it isn't really a two player game, just a thing for someone else to do while they are waiting for their turn, or while they are just watching someone else play |
