It's $4 a month at the most, and like $2.50 a month if you just buy a game card on sale. As long as that 'busy life' includes... you know... a job, it's virtually no cost. I barely have time to play online at all, but the cost of xbox live is entirely unnoticable to me. I can go a month or two without having time to play an online game, but it's there when I feel like firing up Halo for a few rounds, or when I have time to watch a netflix movie, and just for that, it's worth it.
