Didn't destroy Bond. Sure nobody has ever matched Connery - but there have still been some very good Bonds since.

This.  Keep the franchise going with new (not Shia) Indy.

I'd rather watch Harrison act in a wheelchair than have Shia as Indy.

That being said,  I think that having a new actor playing Indy is what's needed for this franchise if they want it to continue.  Maybe George Lazenby's available.
