What I WISH would happen to them, is not what SHOULD happen to them, so to answer your question, yes, the punishment should fit the crime. I say make them pay double, for pain and suffering, and then ban them from the internet, for taking advantage of it.

You have a problem with the US legal system, if you have a problem with the punishment not fitting the crime.

It's actually a stiffer penalty than child molestation in some states.

And yes, it should carry a stiff penalty. Punishment is sometimes used as an example, and doesn't always fit the crime. Especially in real like, not some hypothetical question that we debate on these forums.

Pirating IS illegal, arbitrary or not, and doing it makes you a criminal, and in the eyes of the law, you're a much worse criminal than one would assume, for doing so, and might, just might, end up in that federal pen, where what happens?
