The only thing is that the gaming press will use the timing to bash the Wii, which they would do anyway. What matters is if the mainstream cares. If so, they won't give a shit of the other consoles just cut their prices as well, except that it means the game systems are all cheaper.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
