Myopic game fixation is beginning to be a real problem on these forums. While you fixate on how many consoles Halo 3 has sold. You are ignoring what is right behind you. Wii sports has sold consumers on the Wii for almost twelve months running. Resistance and Motorstorm seem to be doing well by Sony. Great games sell consoles period, and they do so over the long haul. People will be buying 360s with Halo 3 in mind for months or even years. That game is not going to go away any more then Wii sports is going to vanish.

Do we seriously need to list off the generally accepted good games that consumers should buy a console for. Sorry but western RPG players are going to find Mass Effect very attractive. Platformer enthusiasts will have their eyes light up for Mario. Racing fans will fall in love with Gran Tourismo. The Grand Theft Auto fans are going to want the next installment.

What is really annoying about this particular fetish is that its used like a blunt instrument. Often obscuring the real issue, or the one that most matters. When the big launch is done and over with whats the library look like. When it comes to games that where the battle is won, and not to burst any bubbles but the 360 has a nice library. While you fixated on Halo 3 you might have missed a few good games. The same way that Zack and Wiki are probably going to be missed hidden behind Metroid, and the upcoming Mario launch.

I just had to get that off my chest getting kind of tired of the soft reasoning. Had I only had these forums for information. I might think a good game only comes out every other month. Thankfully I have other sources, and they told me Blue Dragon was a good game. I disagree its a very good game. More people should pick it up. I am not a fan of turn based RPGs, and I am having a blast. Just one of those good games thats not getting factored into the equation I suppose.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
