My thought is maybe Kanomi has reduced it's recourses towards MGS.
Instead of maximizing production, say 200 staff to have it completed in 4 months, they have restructured and now only have 100 staff to complete over 8 months...
The reason I suggest this is because of the recent sales of the PS3, (Or lack there of) even after a price drop in the UK and the introduction of the 40GB there and in Japan having such a little impact that now rather then speeding the production using more recourses, they are going to take a wait and see what happens over the holiday sales.
Is sales are still poor for the PS3, even after the new price drop, new 40GB unit, and whatever else, then as they have spread out their recourses and are still a little from the PS# MGS completion, they can begin to look at porting.
However, if sales begin to improve with the 40GB and price drop, Then Kanomi can be confident in releasing the game PS3 exclusive.
To me, this delay shows a lack of confidence in Sony and/or the PS3's sales ability... especially since Europe's sales, even with a huge price drop and new 40GB unit, has done so poorly that maybe they are thinking the PS3 might not be able to pull out of this one....
Capcom with Monster Hunter 3 anyone???
It's me... no really, it IS me!!!
