I don't remember what polls have been posted, but I gotta question the statement that US citizens, "on the whole, [dismiss] scientific theories of the way we evolved."
In any case, that is HORRIBLE if it is an accurate protrayal of the reasons it hasn't been picked up, which seems plausible. Also, I suppose it depends on the film's tone, but I doubt it's anti-Christian or anything.
[edit: On second thought, I like Kasz's theory better, especially now that I've noticed the BS he was talking about everyone in the US outside of NYC and LA being a religious nut.]
